Transforming a small overgrown back yard into a warm refuge for enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.

We began our work by terracing the sloped yard into spaces appropriate for dining and relaxing. Oriented towards a small view of the East Bay hills, the firepit area rests comfortably under two existing Maple trees. A small table and grill fill out the upper deck terrace made of redwood.

A mix of shade loving ferns and bold succulents complement the architectural structure of the lower terrace.
