Our landscape design services are ideally suited for residential projects including full-property transformations, new home construction planning, and exterior design for significant home remodels including ADU additions.
Services
We have extensive experience creating outdoor living spaces for gathering, entertaining, dining and quiet relaxation. Our native plant gardens emphasize high ecological impact, low water use, and fire-defensible design, with full MWELO compliance and irrigation design. We also coordinate with architects, engineers, local officials and landscape contractors on site planning, engineering, permit coordination and construction.

From San Francisco to Berkeley, Burlingame to San Carlos, San Anselmo to Mill Valley, we work across the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We are available for larger projects in other areas of California as well.

Seed Studio was founded by landscape architect Steve Ritchey. Inspired by his passion for nature and a love of design, Seed Studio is the culmination of his experience in the disciplines of landscape, architectural and ecological design.
With over 25 years of experience, his work as a landscape designer is shaped by a deep knowledge of California’s native plant communities and a commitment to designing outdoor spaces that reconnect his clients to the landscapes around their homes.
